My advice if you want to make disciples is to stop thinking about it, and just do it. Gather a small, passionate team to pray and plan, but keep it simple. You don’t have to make it perfect. Start, learn from your efforts, and then make adjustments to improve your disciplemaking.
No matter the delivery method chosen, there are some key meeting elements that will naturally be part of our disciple-making efforts.
Two encounters are critical. First, the leader encounters God in His Word and is changed. Second, the leader guides the group to have a life-changing encounter.
In John 13:34-35, three times Jesus said, “Love one another.” Your group is the ideal place to practice and launch the kind of love for one another that shows the world that we are His disciples.
