What Is Your Disciple-Making Mission?
Would you mind pressing the pause button long enough to write down an answer to the title’s question?
For what did God place you on earth? To whom has God sent you? What is your purpose? For what has He prepared you? For what has He given you passion, experiences, personality, gifts, and abilities? What is your mission? Where is your God-given vision sending you? What is your disciple-making mission?
Your mission and mine is huge:
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
All Nations
This disciple-making mission cannot be accomplished alone. We need Him and each other. When it is accomplished, we must be careful to give Him the praise.
Baptizing Them
We will love people as we walk through life daily. Out of that love, we will share His love. We will give them an opportunity to respond to Him and His disciple-making mission for us all.
Teaching Them to Observe
Our duty of love does not end when they place their faith in Him. Instead, we continue to care for them and walk with them as they follow Him. And we lead them to invest in others as well.
What is your mission as a disciple-maker? Make a fresh commitment to that mission this year. Be a disciple. Make disciples!
