Topic: IMPORTANT LESSONS FOR THE EMOTIONAL HEALTH OF THE LEADER

All church leaders experience successive waves of intense and sometimes traumatic situations. Over time these experiences can take a serious mental and emotional toll on a leader. Leaders, seeking to work through such pain can develop unhealthy patterns for addressing their emotional life. You will hear the story of a real person’s experience of decades of trauma and his journey of recovery. Listeners will learn important lessons that can help them begin to recognize and care for their emotional health from a biblical perspective.

In addition, he serves on the faculty of Liberty University’s Rawlings School of Divinity where he serves as an Associate Professor of Practical Studies. He is passionate about church leadership and building churches that have strong gospel witness. After experiencing years of the wear and tear of life and ministry, personal emotional health has become a focus of his personal journey as well as his leadership in the church.
