As a young pastor, I read several books that impacted my life and gave focus to my ministry. One particular book that impacted me the most was The Disciple-Making Pastor by Bill Hull. In his book, Hull challenges and encourages the pastor to adopt disciple making as his primary assignment in the church.
Hull argues that the church today is in a crisis because of the failure to produce disciples. On his blog, Hull is described as a “discipleship evangelist” whose mission is to help the church return to its disciple making roots. I, for one, am grateful for his passionate plea for pastors to step up and obey The Great Commission.
I highly recommend all ten of the books Hull has authored, but if you have not read The Disciple-Making Pastor, buy it today! I WARN YOU, you’ll never look at discipleship the same way again!
