Bob, if Sunday School classes and teachers can experience the joy of serving and ministering to others, they will never want to just sit around and study about it. They will learn that it is indeed “more blessed to give than to receive.”
I love the way you translated the Sunday School class into the church within a church. I know that so well from moving to this church and how I enjoy the thrill of returning to my old church’s Sunday School class on infrequent occasions. Too, I’ve built many lifelong friendships there that continue to this day. Also reinforcing that thought, I know from the experience I have each Sunday morning as I view the reception each member gets as they enter the classroom here at Ballardsville Baptist.
Thanks for some thought provoking blogs.

Two encounters are critical. First, the leader encounters God in His Word and is changed. Second, the leader guides the group to have a life-changing encounter.
